V-Raykally - License Agreement

1. Purpose of this agreement
This agreement sets out the terms of use of V-Raykally, developed by Adrien Lejeune, referred to below as the "Author".
V-Raykally is proprietary software provided free of charge. Its availability at no cost does not transfer any intellectual property rights or make it free or open-source software.
By installing or using V-Raykally after reviewing this agreement, you accept its terms. If you act on behalf of an organization, you must have authority to bind it.
2. Permitted uses
Subject to compliance with this agreement, the Author grants you a free, non-exclusive license to:
- use V-Raykally for personal, educational or professional purposes, including commercial projects;
- install it on an unlimited number of devices;
- copy and distribute the software within your organization for its internal needs, retaining this agreement and the legal notices.
These permissions apply to V-Raykally. Third-party software, components and models remain subject to their own licenses.
3. Your content and renders
The Author claims no ownership rights over scenes, files, images, animations or other content you process or produce with V-Raykally.
This agreement imposes no royalties or restrictions on using or sharing that content. You remain responsible for obtaining the necessary rights to the content, assets and software used to produce it.
4. Restrictions and intellectual property
Without the Author's prior written permission, you may not:
- modify V-Raykally or create derivative works from its code;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it;
- sell, rent, lend or sublicense the software, subject to the internal distribution permitted under section 2;
- redistribute the software or its code on a public repository, download platform or any other public channel.
These restrictions do not apply where the law grants you a right that cannot be waived or where an applicable third-party license expressly permits the operation concerned.
All rights not expressly granted remain reserved to their respective holders.
5. Chaos V-Ray and related services
V-Raykally manages render queues and controls a compatible Chaos V-Ray installation. It does not provide the V-Ray engine, Chaos License Server, or any Chaos assets or licenses.
You must have the necessary installations and usage rights and comply with Chaos terms.
Any license diagnostics offered by V-Raykally are informational. They do not validate your usage rights and may not reflect remote or offline license configurations.
V-Raykally is an independent product with no affiliation with Chaos. Referenced trademarks belong to their respective owners.
6. Third-party components and artificial intelligence
Depending on the version and platform, V-Raykally may include third-party libraries, runtimes and artificial intelligence models.
These remain governed by their respective licenses, supplied with the application or referenced in its documentation. If this agreement conflicts with a third-party component's license, that license takes precedence for that component.
V-Raykally's free availability does not exempt you from complying with any commercial-use restrictions of a third-party model or obtaining separate authorization from its rights holder.
Artificial intelligence features assist with diagnosis. Their responses may be inaccurate or incomplete. You must check recommendations before applying them to your files, settings or production work.
7. Data and privacy
V-Raykally is designed to process your projects and keep your work data locally or in locations you choose.
Optional usage measurement and diagnostic features may be enabled with your consent. They may include usage events, filtered technical information and, depending on the configuration, session replays with private data masked.
Scene files, rendered images, file names and paths, V-Ray setting values and raw render logs are excluded from this telemetry.
Processing details and ways to disable these features are described in the V-Raykally privacy policy. Accepting this agreement does not constitute consent to optional telemetry.
8. Feedback and suggestions
You may submit suggestions, error reports or proposals for improvement.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, you authorize the Author to use this feedback to develop and improve V-Raykally, without compensation or any obligation to implement it. This authorization transfers no rights over your projects or work files.
9. Warranties and liability
To the extent permitted by law, V-Raykally is provided "as is" and as available, without any contractual warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation, compatibility with every configuration or suitability for a particular need.
You are responsible for backing up your files and checking results before using them in production.
To the extent permitted by law, the Author is not liable for loss of data, profits or business, business interruptions, render failures or other damages resulting from the use of or inability to use V-Raykally.
Nothing in this agreement excludes any warranty, remedy or liability that the law prohibits excluding or limiting.
10. Updates
Updates may change features, integrations, included components and supported platforms.
If an update comes with new license terms, those terms must be brought to your attention before you accept them. They apply to the corresponding version without retroactively changing rights granted for an earlier version.
Applicable legal obligations regarding updates remain unaffected.
11. General provisions
If any provision of this agreement is declared invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
All mandatory rights you have under applicable law remain fully preserved.
