What is a .vrscene file?
It describes a scene for V-Ray: geometry, materials, lights and render settings. Export it from your 3D application before adding it to V-Raykally.
3ds Max
Follow these steps if your project is in 3ds Max.
- Open V-Ray → .vrscene exporter.
- Choose the destination and a filename, such as Entrance.vrscene.
- Keep the scene’s render settings in the export, then choose Export.
- Drop the exported .vrscene file into V-Raykally.
SketchUp
Follow these steps if your project is in SketchUp.
- In the V-Ray Asset Editor, open the menu beside the render button.
- Choose Export V-Ray Scene File.
- Choose the file path and export the whole scene.
- Drop that .vrscene file into V-Raykally.
Rhino
Follow these steps to export the whole Rhino scene, not a proxy selection.
- Open the render menu in the V-Ray Asset Editor.
- Choose Export V-Ray Scene File and a destination.
- Export, then drop the resulting .vrscene file into V-Raykally.
Maya
Follow these steps if your project is in Maya.
- Open Render Settings → V-Ray Common → Translator.
- Enable Export to a .vrscene file.
- Turn off Render if you only want to export, then run the export.
- Drop the exported .vrscene file into V-Raykally.
